Roy’s recent programmes have featured rarely-heard masterpieces such as Chabrier’s complete Pièces pittoresques (a cycle that Poulenc astutely ranked alongside Debussy’s Preludes) and numerous piano and chamber works by Fauré, many of them in Roy’s own new critical editions. His workshops and performances at the Royal Academy of Music have focussed on Fauré’s chamber music (with cellist Neil Heyde and violinist Peter Sheppard-Skaerved) and songs, which Roy is now editing for Peters together with Emily Kilpatrick. Roy’s and Emily’s research-performance workshops have involved Academy singing students and staff in exploring and illustrating editorial discoveries that will go into the new edition.
2011 saw the appearance of Roy’s long-awaited new Peters edition of Fauré’s Barcarolles.
British, French and Australian radio audiences have heard Roy in various broadcasts, notably with Jean-Pierre Derrien in Le matin du musicien.
